Mad Mom,
That's an awesome video. I am feeling rather discouraged about the uphill battle we're fighting, so it was timely. I think the video is right, except I worry that Americans have been losing freedom for so long that too many have forgotten what it is to be free.
Americans need to stop underestimating politicians who now ignore their constituents with relatively little resistance from the voters. Sure, they send a gutless form letter in response to written complaints but, then they ignore the phone calls and refuse to meet in town hall forums to face "We the People".
The politicians are underestimating "We the People". But, some of "We the People", are underestimating the insatiable appetite of the government for total control of society. This is a formula for disaster.
Firts the banks, then the auto industry, then Health Care, and the next thing you know they will go after Energy and try to give Amnesty to the trespassers in the US. Sound Familiar?
The final step will be the morphing of the "volunteer" organization into a "not so nice", big, well-equipped and trained Internal Security Force....
Hmm, that was weird. My comment deleted itself... I'll post it again.
Thanks for posting this video, it makes me think we have a chance to save America from the people in government who are trying so hard to destroy her.
I agree that we need to stick together. We need to wake this country up and make people realize how many of our rights and freedoms are being stolen from us. I'm only sixteen so I can't vote, and I'm feeling kind of powerless to stop it at the moment. I'm glad there's people out there who still believe in America and are fighting to keep her.
As a registered independent I’m as tired as most of you of how our representative in office treat their ethical responsibilities to their office.
It’s time for our representatives show honor in office. politicians pass laws with little to no public oversight. The only laws they have to follow are the ones they themselves set, and they don't even follow those!
Our elected officials are passing laws which they haven't read, understood or researched.
This is an example of the type of stuff that can and does go on at the state and federal levels.

I believe the conflict we have in this country today can be simply reduced down to teo opposing and ireconcilable philosopies: "protecting and preserving the right of the individual" vs. "safty through a collectivist society"..... take one guess which one is the foundation of our constitution.... the leftists of this country is doing all it can to push us to a collectivist society with all of the usaual promises of "taking care of you" (I will spare you all of the incidious reasons why they do that.... we all know it well)Truth is the collectivist pushers (progressives, marxists, socialists, radical-left-democrats.... take your pick) aim to create a society with 2 calss of people: 1) the ruling class and 2) the entitlement class.... and the scary thing is they are well on their way to doing that (don't kid yourself this process started even before FDR).... folks, please more than read the US Constitution.... take the time to read the genesis of the Constitution because it's a real eye openner... there truly is a reason why American was the "shiny beacon on the hill for freedom" and the current political forces in Washington, DC threatens to smother that light forever.... yes, that is how sservious it is!
did anyone make it to langevin's townhall last night and what happended? No doubt Acorn and their free box lunches took up alot of space... but di dpatriots get heard? anyone?
Anon, Our side was heard loud and clear. It was an amazing display of the American democratic process and Freedom of Speech at work. Unfortunately, with our current federal representation, it is all for naught. Their minds are made up and they will vote the party line. The will of the people means nothong to our imperious rulers. But we WILL strike back in 2010.
The time HAS COME for the american people to PHYSICALLY and FORCEFULLY uinite against our corrupt government! This can first begin by meeting in secret in small groups and developing a strategy just as the first true patriots did at our nations beginnig. For those of us who are serious,it will NOT be pretty or easy. Most, if not all who choose to rise up will likely be labled as "domestic terrorists" or political dissidents, enemies of the state or whatever the government controlled media is told to call us. So be it. Sacrifices must always be made and even the longest journey brgins with a single step. The time to take that step is NOW!The FIRST thing we must do is each individual must aquire both the means and safe storage of the tools needed for the INEVITABLE conflict to come.We must seek out from our own ranks those of us with the experience, morallity, belief in the common good of the people, and the willingness to FIGHT AND DIE if necessary. We must create a resistance movement that cannot be defeated by the removal of a single person. That movments leaders must be of SOUND MIND and posess the cunning and tactical thinking needed to achieve the necessary objectives. Like I said, it wont be pretty,in fact it will likley be quite horrible and terrifying and there WILL be traitors among our own ranks. This is to be expected and is a good reason for not having centralized leadership. Unfortunately, untill we as a spieces evolve past the self-destructive concept of money and all the problems that it causes, social change MUST continue to come from the point of a sword.
"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds." -- Samuel Adams, 1722 - 1803

I hope I'm wrong. Anyway, I'm still in the fight.
Me too, Michelle. As long as we stick with it together, we will prevail.

Good for you, Lady K! Love to hear from teenagers who understand what is going on. Keep up the good fight.
