Bailouts for Beach House Owners

What are the loony bins in Congress going to come up with next? Are they living in an alternate reality? Quietly slipped into the Climate Bill is a provision for those who "suffer" from climate change to sue the federal government or private businesses. Because we have so much money to hand out to poor beach house owners. We mustn't let them suffer needlessly.

Self-proclaimed victims of global warming or those who "expect to suffer" from it - from beachfront property owners to asthmatics - for the first time would be able to sue the federal government or private businesses over greenhouse gas emissions under a little-noticed provision slipped into the House climate bill.

I read this article yesterday.

All this will do is provide lawyers with a new income source. Beware lawyers bearing the gift of suing the U.S. government - It takes between five and ten years for a federal lawsuit to reach fruition. Longer if ti is a class action suit.

The only ones getting paid on this one is the lawyers and the politicians!

Mark Twain was RIGHT!

This is absolutely nuts. I did find it ironic, that citizens would be given "standing" for potential lawsuits, when all of the lawsuits that have been filed on the birth certificate issue have been denied due to "lack of standing" by the filers. What?

On a separate note - does everyone have their signs made for Wednesday? I would love to hear some of the captions! I'm still researching.......

You are absolutely right Kathy! That's a great point.

As far as signs, go to www.riteaparty.com and click on Signs. We've got hundreds of slogans there- some really great ones. It's gonna be FUN!
