Can Anyone Say Hitler Youth?

Serve America Act

A bill to amend the National and Community Service Act of 1990 to expand and improve opportunities for service, and for other purposes.

"Establishes a National Service Reserve Corps of individuals who have completed a term of national service to respond to national disasters and other emergencies. Directs the Corporation, within 180 days of this Act's enactment, to conduct a nationwide Call to Service Campaign."

I've got a few questions about this.

Is this really necessary? Why? Is it to take the place of all the volunteer organizations that respond to NATURAL DISASTERS (such as the American RED CROSS) Where is the list of faith-based entities that is mentioned in the bill?

What exactly falls under other emergencies? And under purposes of the bill, what is meant by "other purposes"? I want all the specifics on that.

What is going to be done in the "Call to Service Campaign". I want specifics, because I can tell you right now, my children are not going to be a part of it.

What are the documented shortcomings of the 1990 National and Community Service Act of 1990 that have prompted a requirement to amend the act?

This is taking the Community Service portion and Nationalizing it! And that my friends is how it starts!!! Another very sly and
surreptitious way to organize your youth corps. If mandatory, it will gather more personal and private information than you can imagine.

"House Readies Passage of Volunteerism Bill Critics Call Pricey, Forced Service

WASHINGTON -- The House of Representatives is expected to pass a measure Wednesday that supporters are calling the most sweeping reform of nationally-backed volunteer programs since AmeriCorps. But some opponents are strongly criticizing the legislation, calling it expensive indoctrination and forced advocacy.

The Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act, known as the GIVE Act -- sponsored by Reps. Carolyn McCarthy, D-N.Y, and George Miller, D-Calif. -- was approved by a 34-3 vote in the House Education and Labor Committee last week.

The legislation would create 175,000 "new service opportunities" under AmeriCorps, bringing the number of participants in the national volunteer program to 250,000. It would also create additional "corps" to expand the reach of volunteerism into new sectors, including a Clean Energy Corps, Education Corps, Healthy Futures Corps and Veterans Service Corps, and it expands the National Civilian Community Corps to focus on additional areas like disaster relief and energy conservation."

"Obama Youth" courtesy of Michelle Obama. I wonder if they(the Obama's) would require that their daughters join this "movement"?

Can we say "Seig Heil" as we goose step along with our left fist raised in the . . . . . . .

I'm tired of complaining. It's time to do something, like impeach the SOB!

I just went to the website "Congress.org" and sent a letter regarding this issue to my state senators and my legislator. I urge everyone who reads this to do the same.

Excellent advice, GA. Everyone can contact their Senator and Congressmen via the links on this blog. Let them know this is unacceptable. As for impeachment, I'm in lock step with you. Every day a new nightmare emerges from this administration to threaten our Republic.

I can just hear Rahm Emmanuel in the background whispering to himself, "Nice, Nice, that's just the way it ought to be done. We'll have that IDF in place before the Inauguration, but we'll wait to spring it after the election in 2012".

My friends, this is something everyone needs to understand. It is time for people to get out their history books and do a little reading about Nazi Germany, and how it was done there. It didn't happen overnight. The frog is indeed sitting in the pot as the heat is turned up and he is fat, dumb, and happy. He will die with a stupid grin on his face.

That's right UT. Maybe we need a history lesson post showing how Hitler consolidated his power and the methods he used to put his organization into place under the noses of the German people in the 1930's.

Read about this earlier today and was just sick. Again, they talked of doing it during the campaign, but it's amazing how fast they are peeling these things out. Once again, I've made my calls and sent my emails.....becoming a daily occurance.

BTW, Welcome back MadMom - I've missed you these last couple days!

Thanks for all of your efforts, Kathy. Took a few days to spend with the family in NYC and feel like it'll take a week to catch up on everything that's going down. I think the BO administration's MO is "Just keep throwing crap at em' and wear em' down."

All of you are right on the money on this one. My parents and family left Cuba in 1962 (after several attempts prior to were rejected) and this is exactly how a communist system gets its roots...in the children. This guy whom we have the sad distinction to call "President" should be impeached and tried for treason in my opinion.

Ahhh! Where to begin? Ahhh!

This is a most frustrating development. I have six kids who will NOT be involved in this.

How did we get to the point where Americans accept coersion without batting an eye? I blame the public schools. Socialist indoctrination has been hugely facilitaed by having a national school system . . . One of many reasons my kids are home schooled.

I'll go e-mail my governemnt officials now.

Better learn how to "goose step" if you want to be a good American.

Hmmmmm. "Education Corps", that would be the indoctrination portion.
Hmmmmm. "Veterans service corps", that would be the military enforcement portion.
Put it all together and you spell the core components of the Internal Defense Force. Now, go read how it was done in Germany and see if you seen any differences. I didn't.

For those who want to be aware of the background of the Hitler Youth Movement, here is good place to get a small taste of how it was done.

Thanks, UT, everyone should read this.
