Oh yeah, and then Achmed-The-Nut-Job dissed our Messiah at the behest of his all-knowing Ayatollah!

And the beat goes on . . .

Mad Mom,
Concerning Bob Basso's suggestion of sending tea bags in an envelope to as many legislators as we can, my wife and I simultaneously said to each other "and let's send used ones because they don't deserve anything but garbage because that's all they give us". They completely ignore us. They must go.
So we are drying the bags out after we enjoy the tea and sending the bags along to all our elected officials every day now, along with brief yet courteous messages indicating our total dissatisfaction with them.
The only sad part of this is that I don't get to use the tea in my compost pile. Oh well....sacrifice we must.

John, Excellent idea. The only issue with sending tea bags (used or otherwise) is that they will be screened an discarded as potential biohazards long before they reach their intended target (Legislator or Obama). I would suggest you send a picture of the used tea bags with a note describing your sentiment. That will get though the screeners and send the same message to our government leaders who chose to completely ignore us.

Yes, better idea. Plus my gardens will appreciate it......winners all around.

I am having "Salvation Army Christmas Gift Certificates" printed up and sending them to Congress. They are dated valid from 6 Nov - 26 December 2010. In the remarks section it reads, "This certificate is non-transferable an is for the use of politicians who have recently been voted out of office, Merry Christmas!" On the bottom, in fine print it says, Redeemable in Amero Dollars at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC. Value $5 Ameros.

Oh, to see Nancy Pelosi shopping at Salvation Army would be priceless!

Undertaker,

Please don't dis the Salvation Army . . . I had an auntie that spent many years beating the tambourines before she became a Roman Catholic.

Instead make them redeemable in Obama dollars. Maybe THAT would send a double message that is much more pointed?

However I do like the used tea bag idea even though they would be scrutinized and discarded, the bureaucrats would have all of them categorized and listed in an official report which would be a permanent record of an event vs just the opening and trashing of a printed photo.

Sounds like a plan to me!

Do they have a place you can park a G5 Jet at Goodwill??

Or will San Fran Nan need to have a limo shuttle her soory ass over to the Goodwill from the airport?

PS After my tea, I'd send the Old Bag to her!
